Retail Sales Associate
Hours: 11am – 6pm
Days: Saturday - Sunday (Weekday hours available as well)
Location: 159 Nassau Ave
Compensation: $18/hr
Duration: Position starts week of June 8th. Open to temporary summer or permanent role.
Mostly Objects is a curated vintage and antique home goods shop opening at 159 Nassau Ave in Greenpoint. We source one-of-a-kind lighting, furniture, art, and objects for a collected home — and we're looking for someone who has a passion for interiors to join us on the floor.
The role
- Welcoming customers and guiding them through the shop with genuine product knowledge
- Supporting in-shop styling — maintaining the floor, refreshing vignettes, and keeping the space looking its best
- Managing inventory in Shopify: tagging new arrivals, updating listings, and processing sales
- Creating social content during shop hours — photographing objects, capturing the space, and contributing to our Instagram and TikTok presence
- Assisting with occasional packing, receiving, and light organization as new inventory comes in
You
- Have a genuine interest in vintage, antiques, interior design and home accessories
- Are comfortable in a customer-facing role — warm, unhurried, and knowledgeable
- Prior experience in retail sales is a plus
- Know your way around Shopify or pick up new tools quickly
- Have an eye for photography and are fluent in Instagram and TikTok as a creator
- Are reliable, self-directed, and happy working independently on weekends
- Available for occasional additional hours during events or pop-ups
