Pianist (Contract / 1099)

Azle Christian Church – Azle, Texas
 Part-Time | Sundays | Independent Contractor (1099)

Azle Christian Church is seeking a skilled and dependable Pianist to support our Sunday worship services through music leadership and accompaniment. We are an inclusive church community committed to affirming and accepting all people, and we are looking for someone whose professionalism and presence align with that spirit.

Schedule

  • Sunday rehearsal: 9:45 AM
  • Worship service: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Weekly Sunday commitment required

Responsibilities

  • Provide piano accompaniment for weekly worship services
  • Attend and participate in Sunday rehearsals prior to service
  • Read and perform from standard sheet music
  • Play effectively from chord charts / lead sheets
  • Collaborate with worship leader, vocalists, and other musicians
  • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to rehearse and perform
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and collaborative attitude

Qualifications

  • Strong piano proficiency with worship accompaniment experience preferred
  • Ability to read music fluently
  • Ability to play from chord charts and by ear using recordings as reference
  • Reliable punctuality and consistent Sunday availability
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a church setting that is inclusive and affirming of all people

Employment Type

This position is classified as contract labor (independent contractor / 1099) and is not an employee role.
