TikTok Video Editor and Creator

We’re building a fast-growing women’s comfort apparel brand focused on solving real everyday problems for women through better design, stronger branding, and modern content.

We’re looking for a sharp, platform-native video creator who lives and breathes short-form storytelling — someone who constantly experiments with new ideas, understands what makes people stop scrolling, and knows how to turn concepts into engaging, high-performing content.

This role is ideal for someone who loves video creation, moves quickly, thinks creatively, and wants to help build a brand from the ground up.

You’ll work directly with the founder, a Columbia Business School MBA with a strong prior track record and successful business background, now launching a new consumer brand with ambitious growth plans.

This is more than a basic editing role — you’ll help shape how a modern brand shows up online.

Longer-term, there may also be opportunities to grow into future ventures including a creator/media business (MCN-style platform), where brands and creators are scaled through content, marketing, and audience growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Translate provided ideas, scripts, and references into compelling visual stories built for TikTok, Reels, and short-form platforms
  • Own the end-to-end creation of video content: sourcing assets, editing, captioning, sound selection, pacing, and final delivery
  • Create polished, high-quality videos using stock footage, online media, AI-generated assets, or mixed-media formats
  • Bring a strong point of view on hooks, pacing, retention, structure, and what makes content watchable, shareable, and high-performing
  • Stay deeply attuned to platform behaviors, trends, sounds, memes, and evolving short-form formats
  • Produce content at speed: iterate quickly, test new formats, and keep pace with social media demand
  • Experiment with emerging creative tools including AI-generated content, trend formats, and new storytelling styles
  • Help build repeatable content systems and templates for scalable weekly production
  • Offer creative input and ideas when helpful

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong instincts for TikTok / short-form platform-native content
  • Deep understanding of video editing, pacing, hooks, storytelling, and audience retention
  • Strong ability to translate ideas into compelling video content
  • Skilled in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with video content AI generation tools such as Midjourney, Runway, Veo, Zed, Sora, Seedance or willingness to experiment
  • Good visual taste and understanding of current social media aesthetics
  • Fast, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • NYC-based preferred
  • Interest in women’s brands / fashion / wellness is a plus
  • Preferred: personally understands issues like thigh chafing, body changes, or comfort-focused apparel needs (not required)

Schedule

  • 10–20 hours per week
  • Mix of remote work + in-person sessions in NYC
  • Flexible schedule (great for students or freelancers)
