Podcast Guest Coordinator
We are seeking a full-time summer intern to help identify, recruit, and coordinate guests for a new podcast featuring conversations across the political spectrum.
This role focuses on outreach, research, and coordination. You will help build and manage a pipeline of potential guests—including influencers, organizational leaders, and professionals engaged in public issues—and play a direct role in shaping the conversations featured on the podcast.
Expected Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential podcast guests across politics, media, and civic organizations
- Build and maintain a structured guest pipeline, tracking outreach and responses
- Conduct outreach via email and social platforms
- Follow up consistently to move conversations forward
- Coordinate and schedule podcast interviews
- Maintain organized records of guest interactions and status
- Assist in identifying relevant organizations and communities connected to the platform
Skills We’re Looking For
- Strong written communication skills (clear, concise, and professional)
- Ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple conversations and follow-ups
- Comfort using email and social platforms for outreach
- Comfort speaking with people directly (phone, video, or in person) and holding a professional conversation
- Basic research skills (identifying relevant people, organizations, and information)
Minimum Requirements
- Current undergraduate student or recent graduate
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable conducting outreach and following up persistently
- Interest in politics, civic engagement, media, or public issues
