We are an established and dynamic interior design firm seeking a motivated individual to join our team. This is an in-person role only at our Princeton-area office. Please do not apply unless you are located in or near Princeton, NJ and have reliable transportation.
Position: Interior Design Assistant
Type: Full-Time, In-Person Only (with occasional evenings and weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance on various client projects, both in the office and at client sites
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of the office
- Be available to address last-minute project issues as directed by the lead designer
- Assist with material sourcing, client communications, and administration organization.
- Handle personal and work-related errands as needed
- Adapt to changing support needs depending on project scope
- Contribute to a team that goes above and beyond for our clients—no task is too small when it comes to ensuring client satisfaction
- Track and receive deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality
Qualifications:
Administrative Skills
- Calendar management and scheduling
- Preparing and editing spreadsheets and documents
- Organizing samples, files, and office supplies
- Strong office organization and workflow management skills
Communication
- Excellent client communication abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work Style
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and responsive to project-related requests, even on short notice
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the field
- A commitment to delivering exceptional client service and supporting the team wherever needed
- Willingness to learn new systems and software
Availability and Logistics
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation and comfort with handling errands and making deliveries as needed
- Must be located in or near Princeton, NJ, and available to work in person daily
