Videographer for Summer Camp
Camp Schodack is looking for a friendly and energetic videographer that is able to relate comfortably to children. A demanding and rewarding job that is an essential part of our summer communications team and the Schodack community.
Location: 40 Krouner Rd. Nassau, NY. 12123 | Dates: June 15, 2026 - August 16, 2026
Your experience:
You must have experience in videography, and various computer programs to edit your videos, and be able to film/edit/create digital slideshows/highlight reels on tight deadlines. You will be expected to capture quality sports, semi-posed and candid shots as well as film music and special events, and more. You will also film night activities and some of these will be captured under low-light conditions.
Key Responsibilities – An Overview:
- Shoot video of special events, sports, and candid moments daily
- Plan, shoot, edit, and create 12-15 videos over the entire summer
These include (but are not limited to):
- Weekly highlight videos (2-3mins each)
- A condensed version of the camp musical (30 mins)
- A staff orientation video (3-4 mins)
- Social media content
- Special Events
- Organize and archive all video summer video footage following existing protocols in a timely manner
- Other tasks and assignments as requested
Job skills/requirements
- Videography experience (required)
- Video editing experience (required)
- Experience flying and filming with a drone (strongly preferred)
- Must provide your own camera with a good quality lens and decent stabilizer/gimble (camp provides drone)
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong desire to work around children and be active
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation
- $5,000 - $6,500, commensurate with experience
