ABOUT OAK TREE CLUB

Oak Tree Club is a small,

community-centered educational

organization nestled in the hills of

Topanga Canyon.

We are expanding our after-school

offerings to include a supervised Study

Hall for students, and we are seeking a

responsible, motivated college student to

help create a focused, supportive

learning environment.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Study Hall Monitor will oversee a

quiet, structured study period from 5–6

PM on scheduled weekday evenings and

occasional weekend sessions.

Ideal for education, psychology, child

development, or environmental studies

majors seeking hands-on experience

working with youth in a welcoming

community setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a quiet, focused study

environment during each session

• Provide light academic

encouragement as needed (not

formal tutoring)

• Take attendance and report any

concerns to Oak Tree Club staff

• Enforce basic study hall rules in a

calm, professional manner

• Communicate with parents/guardians

as needed at pickup

SCHEDULE & PAY

Days: 2–5 weekday evenings/week

Hours: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM per session

Weekends: Occasional availability

Pay: $18–$22/hour

Type: Part-time, ongoing

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled college student

(sophomore standing or above

preferred)

• Experience working with children or

youth in an academic or community

setting

• Reliable, punctual, and patient

• Genuine interest in supporting

learners

• Strong communication skills

• Background check required
