Part-Time Content Director (YouTube Growth – Trading Show)

Overview:

We run a fast-growing YouTube (180k subs) show focused on interviewing profitable traders and breaking down real strategies.

We’re looking for a Content Director who can help us improve performance across long-form and short-form content.

This role is focused on:
👉 Hooks
👉 Thumbnails
👉 Clip selection
👉 Overall content performance

This is NOT an editing or posting role — this is a strategy + direction role.

🎯 What You’ll Do:

🧲 1. Thumbnails (Direction)

Decide what each thumbnail should communicate

Guide our designer on:

Text

Emotion

Concept

Improve click-through rate (CTR)

🎥 2. Hooks & Intros (CRITICAL)

Improve the first 30–60 seconds of videos

Identify the strongest angle for each episode

Help structure intros to increase retention

✂️ 3. Clip Selection (Shorts / Reels)

Watch full interviews

Identify:

Viral moments

High-value insights

Emotional / “aha” moments

Select clips for short-form content

🎬 4. Content Direction (BIG ADD)

Decide what content should be created from each episode

Work with editor(s) on:

What to cut

What to keep

What to emphasize

Ensure consistency in output

📊 5. Performance & Analytics

Review:

Titles

Thumbnails

Retention

Suggest improvements based on performance

Continuously refine content strategy

🧠 What We’re Looking For:

Strong understanding of YouTube content and retention

Ability to identify:

What makes people click

What keeps people watching

Thinks naturally in:

Hooks

Curiosity

Value

Clear communicator (can give direction simply)

Bonus:

Experience growing a YouTube channel

Familiarity with trading content

Not managing social media

Not operations

⏱ Time Commitment:

10–15 hours per week

Flexible schedule

💰 Compensation:

$1,500 – $3,000/month depending on experience
