Position Overview
Full Circle Youth Empowerment (FCYE) is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Program Assistant to support its Empowerment After-School Program. This short-term role is ideal for college students interested in youth development, education, social services, or nonprofit leadership.
The Program Assistant will help facilitate daily programming, support student engagement, assist with administrative tasks, and contribute to a positive and structured after-school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Student Engagement & Program Support
- Assist with student arrival, dismissal, and attendance tracking
- Provide homework help and academic support
- Support enrichment and life-skills activities
- Monitor student behavior and engagement
- Conduct basic student check-ins and escalate concerns as needed
- Assist with snack distribution and daily program logistics
- Maintain clean and organized program spaces
Attendance, Outreach & Follow-Up
- Track and document daily attendance
- Conduct follow-up calls/texts for absent students
- Support outreach to students and families
- Assist in confirming attendance for events and workshops
Program Documentation & Data Management
- Collect and organize attendance sheets, assessments, and surveys
- Upload and maintain program documentation
- Update tracking spreadsheets and attendance logs
- Ensure program materials are complete and audit-ready
- Perform basic data entry
Program Coordination & Administrative Support
- Prepare and distribute program materials and supplies
- Support internal staff communication
- Coordinate reminders for sessions and events
- Assist with workshops, events, and special initiatives
- Provide logistical support to facilitators
Community & School Engagement (Light Exposure)
- Assist with outreach materials and communication
- Document outreach efforts and referrals
- Support logistics for community engagement activities
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university
(Preferred majors: Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related) - Strong interest in youth development and community work
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Professional, reliable, and punctual
- Comfortable working with youth and families
- Basic proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
- Prior experience working with youth preferred
