Battery Pack Technician

Role Overview

 

We are seeking a hands-on Battery Pack Assembly Technician to support the assembly and testing of advanced battery packs. This role is well suited for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and creative. Structured training and hands-on mentorship will be provided. Part time and full time positions available. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform micro TIG welding of battery tabs, interconnects, and busbars (training provided)
  • Assemble lithium-based battery packs (pouch and cylindrical cells)
  • Prepare, fixture, and align components for precision welding
  • Install insulation, thermal materials, and mechanical supports
  • Build and route balance and power harnesses
  • Perform electrical checks (voltage, polarity, continuity)
  • Support charge/discharge and balance verification
  • Document builds and maintain internal quality standards
  • Maintain an organized, careful, and safety-conscious workspace

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Hands-on experience with electronics, electro-mechanical assembly, or fine manual work (e.g. mechanics, jewelry or watch work, sewing or tailoring, crafting, model building, instrument repair, dental/medical tech work, small-part manufacturing, or similar precision-focused roles)
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts, tools and processes
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and drawings precisely
  • Comfort working with energized systems and small, delicate components
     

Engineering Background (Preferred)

Students or individuals with backgrounds in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply.

 

Nice to Have

 

  • Battery pack assembly experience
  • Expert-level soldering experience
  • Aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing background
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or IPC-620 standards

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • This position involves access to export-controlled technical data and hardware subject to U.S. export control laws (including ITAR).
