The Kit Carson County Department of Human Services currently has a vacancy for an Adult & Family Services Case Worker I/II. If you are a community-oriented individual with a passion to serve others we want to hear from you!
As a Case Worker I/II you will serve individuals and families in a collaborative manner in order to address social and economic needs. You will also work with a broad range of community support organizations, educational institutions and local law enforcement to improve quality of life standards for the community as a whole. This work requires strong communication, a high degree of organization, a commitment to working with others and “outside the box” thinking at times. Salary & Benefit Information –
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Salary range is $15.87-$24.52
- At least 21 years of age or older
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License with acceptable driving history
- Ability to pass criminal history, employment and education verification background checks
- An Undergraduate Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or related field from an accredited University preferred; however, if enrolled in an undergraduate program currently, educational waivers are available pending State approval
- One year of relevant work experience is highly desired
- Caseworker II classification must meet minimum education requirements plus two years of social services case work experience: OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Bi-lingual skills will be considered
