Bowling Green FC is looking for a creative, dependable, and soccer-savvy Part-Time Social Media & Video Content Assistant to help capture and produce video content around practices, matchdays, and club events.
This role is centered on video production for all major social platforms, including Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and full-length YouTube videos. We are looking for someone who can take raw footage from training sessions and matchdays and turn it into content that is engaging, polished, and usable across multiple platforms.
Role Overview
The Social Media & Video Content Assistant will be responsible for filming and editing content that tells the story of the club throughout the season. This includes everything from fast-paced short-form videos and trend-based content to longer YouTube videos such as practice features, match recaps, behind-the-scenes content, and club storytelling pieces in the 5–10 minute range or longer when needed.
This is a great fit for someone who understands sports content, has a good eye for video, follows social media trends, and knows how to adapt content for different platforms without losing quality or consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Film video content during practices, matchdays, events, and other club activities
Create and edit short-form vertical content for:
● TikTok
● Instagram Reels
● YouTube Shorts
● Facebook Reels
Create and edit longer-form horizontal YouTube content, including:
● Practice recaps
● Matchday recap videos
● Behind-the-scenes features
● Player or coach spotlight videos
● Club storytelling and documentary-style content
● 5–10 minute recap or highlight packages
Capture usable footage that can be repurposed across multiple platforms
Stay up to date with social media and video trends and help apply them in a way that fits the club’s identity
Work closely with the club’s marketing lead to ensure content matches BGFC branding, tone, and goals
Help build a consistent content pipeline throughout the season
Organize footage and maintain a usable content library when needed
Qualifications
Experience filming and editing video content for social media and/or YouTube
Comfortable capturing live sports, training environments, and fast-moving moments
Ability to edit both:
● short-form vertical content
● longer-form horizontal video content
Familiarity with platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook
Comfort using editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
Ability to attend practices, home matches, and occasional club events
Strong sense of timing, storytelling, and what makes content engaging
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating sports content
Understanding of soccer culture and matchday storytelling
Experience with YouTube video structure, pacing, thumbnails, and audience retention
Basic photography, graphic design, or motion graphics skills are a plus
Schedule
Part-time position
Hours will vary based on training sessions, matchdays, and content needs
Evening and weekend availability will be required
Location
Bowling Green, Kentucky
This role will involve in-person content capture at practices, matches, and club events
