Marketing Intern will collaborate directly with the Planner & Founder with a wide range of projects related to marketing – including social media strategy, social media operations, and brand development.  This position is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills they may have acquired in school related to their particular areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting. 


Objective: Intern will have established a social media, marketing, and brand strategy for the business covering the short, medium, and long term. The final products of the internship will be a new and improved website and practical social media plan that the business can use many years into the future.

 

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Passion for the event planning industry.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok, and Facebook.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Creative thinking and ability to contribute fresh ideas.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
  • Proficiency with Canva (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Wix and ShowIt (preferred).

 

The Marketing Intern will have the following responsibilities:

Daily Expectations & Projects:

  • Improve existing and build new questionnaires, proposals, and other business documents to align with brand.
  • Build social media content calendar, content, and post and interact on social media platforms.
  • Research current SEO trends and suggest improvements to website.
  • Research current wedding industry social media trends and maintain trending captions, hashtags, etc.
  • Research publishing trends and submit work to publications.

 

Event Expectations:

  • Build content strategy in preparation for upcoming events and social calendar for month ahead.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content at events.
  • Create same-day or next-day Instagram reels, and Tik Toks, if it is determined that that is the best route for the business.
