Fashion Design Instructor
Teach fashion design and hand sewing/machine sewing classes to elementary school srtudents and in house sewing studio classes in Larchmont. I am looking for someone who has experience working with kids, loves sewing and fashion design and has a passion for arts and crafts. This teaching opportunity will be an ongoing parttime position with room to expand to teach other classes. In this role, you'll have the following responsibilities:
- Teach mini mannequin fashion design classes to K-5th grade.
- Create a fun and creative class with a small group of students
- Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!)
- Create and memorable experience for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for fashion and design.
- Help children understand why this craft is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person
Who You Are
- Fun, enthusiastic, experienced instructor, with deep experience teaching school age children.
- Able to create positive class community and build relationships with students
- Experience leading your own classes preferable
- Has excitement, joy and passion for teaching kids and personal development/learning
- Cooperative, supportive, flexible, reliable
- Has a strong work ethic and do whatever it takes mind set
- At least two references and a cover letter
- Must be local to Larchmont/Mamaroneck area and have their own transport!
