Location: This is a fully remote internship opportunity for a U.S. based college student
Hours: 5-10 per week with 2 scheduled strategy sessions occurring between M-F during MST hours
Reports to: Owner
Work Authorization: Does not require work authorization
Internship Length: 9 weeks. Beginning upon selection.
About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented student to help strengthen the website experience to expand on its design accessible, message clarity, and to improve user experience and customer experience onsite. This role focuses on improving accessibility, usability, and conversion flow so the website fully supports the mission and growth of the business during a scaling stage.
Primary Goals of This Role
• Improve ADA accessibility and inclusive design practices
• Increase clarity and ease of navigation across pages
• Strengthen website flow to support inquiries and bookings
• Ensure the website reflects a professional, trustworthy experience
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct an ADA accessibility audit and document recommendations
• Implement accessibility improvements such as alt text, contrast, headings, and navigation fixes
• Suggest layout or wording improvements to improve user clarity
• Assist with optimizing page structure for conversions
• Test site experience on different devices and browsers
• Maintain a running list of updates and improvements completed
Ideal Candidate
• Sophomore, Junior or Senior-level student majored in UX design, web design, marketing, media, business, marketing, communications or related studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong researcher to learn latest best practices and competitive research
• Organized and self-directed
• Interested in web design, user experience (UX), digital experience.
Compensation
Unpaid internship with professional mentorship, portfolio-building experience, and strong letter of recommendation upon successful completion. There are opportunities for paid work following successful completion.
