Seasonal Lighting Staff

Every summer Christ In Youth (CIY) plans and produces an estimated 60 week-long events across the United States for High School and Junior High Students. For the summer of 2026, we will hire 8 seasonal lighting staff who are assigned to separate teams that travel across the country working events under the supervision and direction of full-time CIY staff.  Our summer team members are generally 18-25 with the ability to travel for the entire summer.  Those experienced in entertainment lighting, theater lighting, church lighting, and photography are encouraged to apply!

Our lighting designers will get a full touring experience, including set up and tear down, lighting design for large and small venues, programming and setting up consoles.  CIY uses moving head fixtures on each tour. Training is provided at our headquarters in Joplin, MO beginning on May 11, 2026.  

Production Team roles are paid positions. In addition to weekly pay, staff are provided travel expenses while on the road as well as room and board while at events and housing while in Joplin during office weeks.
