Human Resource Student Worker
Position Summary
The F.O.C.U.S. division leads cross-departmental initiatives that strengthen workforce training systems, streamline internal processes, and foster continuous professional growth across the agency.
The student worker will assist in a range of projects that connect learning design, communication, and organizational development. This includes, but not limited to, supporting the creation of on-demand eLearning tools (a key agency KPI), coordinating Lunch & Learn sessions, managing SurveyMonkey data and reporting, and assisting with Insights Discovery onboarding sessions for new hires.
This position offers applied learning experience in leadership, workforce development, digital learning, and employee engagement. This is an ideal opportunity for students in Leadership & Human Resource Development (LHRD) or related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, formatting, and organization of digital training materials in the Learning Management System (Absorb Create).

Assist with Insights Discovery new-hire training by preparing assessment materials, maintaining participant communication, and organizing learning resources used to assist teams apply profiles for collaboration and engagement. -
Coordinate Lunch & Learn logistics, including registration lists, materials preparation, testing feedback links, and compiling post-session summaries. -
Collect and analyze feedback through SurveyMonkey, producing concise summaries or data visuals for leadership and team reports. -
Maintain and organize SharePoint folders, training resources, and digital assets to ensure accurate version control. -
Create or edit visual content such as PowerPoint slides, digital flyers, and infographics that support employee learning and development initiatives. -
Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the employee learning experience and promote internal collaboration.
Commitment
- Hours: Flexible scheduling
- Compensation: Standard student worker rate
- Duration: One semester, renewable based on performance and project needs

Work Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled in Leadership & Human Resource Development (LHRD) or related field such as Human Resource Education, Information Systems & Decision Sciences, Mass Communication (Digital), or Graphic Design.

Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. -
Interest in learning design, workforce development, or employee engagement. -
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Canva or willingness to learn. -
Ability to learn and navigate tools such as SurveyMonkey, Absorb LMS, and SharePoint.
