Low Voltage Technician
The Technician is responsible for installing, programming, and servicing Lutron and Vantage systems. They work directly with property owners, clients, and/or general contractors. They manage, plan, and delegate needs for projects from start to finish. Organizing supplies, products, and transportation of high value equipment to job site will be among daily duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Programming, installation, and maintenance of Lutron and Vantage systems and devices
- Perform service on existing and new accounts as required
- Daily job site cleanliness and adherence to builder site requirements
- Local travel to job sites, client/team meetings, and site surveys
- Create documents to assist the team with developing custom quotation, including site plans, drawings, and intake information
- Communicate effectively and confidently with clients, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
- Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
- Continuing education within the industry surrounding lighting and shade solutions
Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications:
- (1) year experience in low voltage preferred.
- Preferred experience/certification with Lutron and Vantage technologies (will train upon hire)
- Be able to read blueprints and other project-related documentation
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic wiring and connectivity knowledge as it pertains to low voltage standards
- Attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- May require standing or sitting for extended periods
- Ability to work in tight spaces and at ladder height
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and pass a pre-employment background check
