Project Chemist – Polymer & Nanoparticle Formulation (CycloSyn Biotech – NEOMED REDIzone)

CycloSyn, a biotech company based at NEOMED’s REDIzone in Rootstown, is developing next-generation polymer–lipid delivery systems for regenerative and therapeutic research.

We’re seeking a motivated chemistry or biochemistry graduate or advanced student to assist with hands-on synthesis and formulation of β-cyclodextrin polymer/peptide hybrid systems. This is a paid, on-site role with strong potential for full-time growth as projects advance.

Responsibilities:

Prepare reagents and run small-batch polymer synthesis under established SOPs

Perform purification and processing (centrifugation, dialysis, filtration, lyophilization)

Maintain detailed QC logs and reagent inventories

Collaborate with the CycloSyn founder and chemistry advisors on data reporting and reproducibility

Requirements:

B.S. (or working toward) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field

Minimum two semesters of chemistry lab; polymer or organic synthesis experience preferred

Strong attention to detail, safety, and documentation

Reliable and motivated to work independently in a fast-paced biotech setting

Compensation & Schedule:

$25/hour starting pay + performance bonuses ($200 per validated Gate milestone)

30–40 hours/week preferred; flexible schedule available

On-site at NEOMED REDIzone (Rootstown, OH)
