Graduate Assistant – Fall 2025

About CCPS

The MSU Center for Continuing and Professional Studies (CCPS) is

administratively housed in the Office of the Provost. Grounded in a belief in

lifelong learning and community collaboration, the CCPS coordinates a variety of

educational activities and community services for learners from culturally diverse

populations in Baltimore City, Maryland, nationally, and internationally. CCPS

offers non-credit courses, workshops, special sessions, and continuing education

units (CEUs), while also administering scholarships and tuition assistance for

qualified adult and non-traditional students.

Summary of Position

CCPS is seeking a Graduate Assistant to enhance the operational effectiveness

and marketing of Continuing and Professional Studies. The Graduate Assistant

will assist with document preparation, database management, marketing,

promotions, and campus/community outreach.

Duties & Responsibilities

✅ Contribute to marketing plan implementation for non-credit classes, career

training, and CEUs.

✅ Design visual materials (posters, flyers, invitations, postcards, website

graphics, newsletters, reports, etc.).

✅ Assist in enrollment processing for CEUs (paper and web registration).

✅ Prepare mail merge documents, perform data entry, and compile evaluation

reports.

✅ Maintain detailed databases for registrations, certificates, workshops, and

evaluations.

✅ Collect and analyze data regarding program participation.

✅ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Pursuing a graduate degree in business administration or project

management (all majors considered).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Accurate typing and data entry skills.

• Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and handle diverse

tasks.

• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (Adobe CC

preferred).

• Ability to manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google+,

Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat).

• Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences or trainings.
