LAB INTERN

Job Summary

Responsible for quality of incoming raw materials, returned goods and finished products. 

Essential Functions

• Quality control of finished products (pH, clarity, color, odor, viscosity, active ingredients of disinfectants, etc.)
• Quality control of incoming raw materials by following internal processes
• Quality control of caps and bottles
• Inspect returned goods and assign responsibility for removal
• Prepare standard solutions for different test needs
• Promote quality and safety within the plant
• Record all of the work orders

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist supervisors with concerns or questions about quality control
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to operate the following equipment:  pH meter, viscometer, oven titration equipment, gloss meter, conductivity meter, scales, phone, computer, mixers, forklift
• Operate lab instruments

Education and Experience

• Chemistry courses in high school or college

Physical Demands  

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Mentally alert at all times
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb. on occasion
• Ability to identify color and odor
• Manual dexterity to operate computer
