Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team in a new high end women's contemporary boutique in Manhattan Beach, CA. Our retro boutique is steps away from the beach and has up and coming brands. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a vital role in providing an exceptional shopping experience to our customers, while also contributing to the success of our store.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and offering personalized product recommendations.
• Utilize cash handling skills to operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle cash and credit payments.
• Demonstrate strong sales skills by identifying and upselling products to meet sales targets and increase revenue.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of products and services, including features, benefits, and pricing.
• Stay organized and focused in a fast-paced retail environment, prioritizing tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the store.
• Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create a visually appealing shopping environment.
• Utilize basic math skills to accurately handle cash and make change.
• Develop and maintain effective communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to communicate with customers and colleagues in a clear and respectful manner.
• Collaborate with other sales associates and management to achieve sales goals and contribute to the success of the store.
• Learn and apply retail math skills to manage inventory, track sales, and make informed business decisions.
• Enhance the customer shopping experience by offering special promotions, discounts, and gift with purchases incentives.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction, actively contributing to the growth and development of the boutique.

Experience:

• Prior retail sales experience is preferred, but not required.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions and the register
• Strong customer service and sales skills, including phone etiquette, are crucial for success in this role.
• A passion for sales and customer service, as well as a willingness to learn and grow, are essential for this position.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cash handling: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Women's Apparel Sales: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
