Essential Functions
The Graduate Assistant for Competencies, Skills & Workforce Development will support various initiatives related to workforce development, skills assessment, and storytelling. This role will work closely with faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure the successful execution of competency-based education and workforce readiness programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and updating website content to reflect key initiatives.
- Creating one-pagers and marketing materials.
- Conducting interviews with students, faculty, staff, and community members to gather insights and stories.
- Assisting with webinar setup, ensuring smooth delivery and engagement.
- Facilitating partnership meetings, including room logistics and agenda preparation.
- Providing general support for the Future of Work event, including event coordination and travel logistics.
- Assisting with Skills Lab efforts, supporting faculty fellow assessment and faculty engagement.
- Coordinating campus-wide skills assessment programming.
Work Schedule
20 hours per week in-person, flexible schedule based on project needs.

Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain web content.
- Experience with event planning and logistics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Admitted to a full-time graduate program at UNO and maintain at least 6 graduate credit hours per semester.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital storytelling or marketing.
- Familiarity with workforce development programs.
- Experience using design tools for one-pagers and promotional materials.

Salary
$18,451 ($1,537.60/month) + tuition remission
