Campus Clash Student Debater
Overview:
Campus Clash is a nationwide student debate initiative hosted by WABC that highlights the voices of young leaders on today’s most pressing political and cultural issues. As a Student Debater, you will represent your school, share your perspective on complex topics, and showcase your ability to communicate effectively in a competitive, media-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit an original audio response to the assigned debate prompt
- Demonstrate clear reasoning, strong research, and persuasive communication skills
- Represent your perspective (assigned side) fairly and consistently
- Participate in structured debates aired on WABC platforms
- Uphold standards of professionalism, accuracy, and academic integrity
- Submit a works cited page and a resume along with your recording
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a college or university student
- Strong interest in politics, journalism, law, or public speaking
- Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and confidently
- Commitment to research accuracy and ethical debate practices
- Previous debate or public speaking experience is helpful but not required
