Natick, MA Part-Time Video Production Assistant

Natick Pegasus is a nonprofit public access TV station located in Natick, Massachusetts. Natick Pegasus operates three channels (Government Access, Education Access, and Public Access), which are watched throughout Natick on RCN, Comcast, and Verizon.

Natick Pegasus is currently looking for an energetic part-time production assistant to assist with the evening operations of the station. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, video editing, updating the community calendar, studio productions, recording of live municipal meetings, and high school sports and concerts.

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with a background in live sound, computer networks, and audio and video engineering. (SDI, NDI, Dante)

Hours:

This is an afternoon/evening position. Candidates should expect to work to 4 p.m. or 11 p.m. two to three days a week. More hours and responsibility may be added as the position grows.

Compensation:

This is a part-time hourly position with a pay rate of $25.00 an hour. 

Applicant Requirements:

Applicants should be familiar with working with both Mac and Windows operating systems and with Final Cut Pro, Motion, Photoshop, and be good at multitasking. Other requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, an automobile, good people skills, and the ability to work independently and as a team. 

Additional candidates should have a basic understanding of computer networks, directing multiple camera productions, and audio and video engineering. (SDI, NDI, Dante)

Work Environment:

Candidates should be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Climb ladders, lift 50 Pounds, and operate in both indoor and outdoor environments, including but not limited to high heat, extreme cold, snow, rain, and direct sunlight for long periods at a time.
