CentriKid Camps – Lighting Technician (Summer Staff)

About CentriKid
CentriKid is a Christian summer camp for 2nd–6th graders where every moment—from Bible study to worship to track times—is intentionally designed to point kids to Jesus. Our staff team serves churches by creating a safe, fun, and gospel-centered environment where kids can grow in their faith and experience the joy of following Christ.

The Role: Lighting Technician
Lighting Technicians shape the worship environment by setting up and operating lighting during productions. Your work behind the scenes helps keep kids focused on what matters most—encountering Jesus through worship. Beyond running lights, you’ll also serve in a camper-facing role, either as a Bible Study Leader or Recreation Staffer, and you’ll teach track times.

Bible Study takes place in an indoor classroom environment, where you’ll guide kids through age-appropriate lessons that show how God’s Word connects to their lives.

Recreation is a high-energy time outdoors, leading large-group games that get kids laughing, working together, and having fun.

Track Times are activity-based classes (like sports, arts, or skills) that give kids the chance to try new things, build friendships, and connect in smaller groups.

What You’ll Do:

Set up, operate, and manage lighting equipment for worship services and productions.

Create an engaging, distraction-free worship environment.

Serve either as a Bible Study Leader or a Recreation Staffer, depending on team needs.

Lead track times that connect with kids’ interests and give them space to grow and connect in smaller groups.

Build relationships with campers throughout the day, encouraging their walk with Christ.

Support churches by contributing to a Christ-centered camp experience.

Be adaptable and ready to serve both behind the scenes and on the front lines with kids.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old by the start of camp.

Active, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Desire and ability to invest spiritually in kids.

Interest or experience in stage lighting, production, or technical systems (training provided).

Willingness to work hard in a team environment and step into various camp roles.

High energy, adaptability, and attention to detail.

No prior camp experience required—training is provided.

Details:

Paid bi-weekly (with housing, meals, and travel covered during camp).

Summer commitment: late May through late July.

Opportunities for leadership development and ministry experience.
