Art Nonprofit and Studio Assistant

About Atelier de la Nature

Atelier de la Nature is a 30-acre nature reserve, sculpture garden, and STEAM education center in Acadiana. Co-founded by internationally renowned environmental artist and biologist Brandon Ballengée, our mission is to connect art, science, and environmental stewardship through community programs, public art, and ecological restoration.

Our work has been recognized globally and was recently featured in the book Integrative Contemporary Art and Science Practices: Building Catalytic Structures (Routledge, 2025), where a chapter authored by Atelier’s founders highlights our impact at the intersection of art, science, and conservation.

This is a rare opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience working directly with a practicing artist of international reputation, while building skills in nonprofit arts management, community engagement, and studio practice.
