Chemical Engineering Intern

WR Medical/Therabath seeks an intern for a Chemical Engineering tasks.  The Intern will be guided and supported by the Engineering Director.   

Therabath is a line of paraffin wax baths and wax used for the treatment of painful joints.  We manufacture these baths and wax in Maplewood, MN.  We are seeking an intern to troubleshoot issues on our wax production line as they arise.

Potential Tasks:

-Assess chemistry of wax for any contaminants

-Determine testing routine to assess adherence to specifications

-Determine particle size distribution of wax agglomerates 

-Optimize processing parameters

-Assess paraffin compatibility with additives and scents

-Work with external vendors on biocompatibility

-Create a database of paraffin knowledge for future engineers
