About Us:
Together for You, Inc. is a Maryland-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth, families, and communities through mentorship, education, advocacy, and access to resources. We work with schools, community organizations, and local leaders to promote mental health, youth leadership, and family stability. Our programs address youth development, mental wellness, and community empowerment — and we are currently expanding our outreach through digital media, storytelling, and the launch of our new FORTIS youth app.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative, motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to help increase our visibility, engage our audience, and tell our story across multiple platforms. This position is perfect for a student or recent graduate passionate about nonprofit work, mental health, youth development, and creative content.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and schedule engaging social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more)
Design graphics, flyers, and marketing materials using Canva or similar tools
Assist with the promotion and branding of the FORTIS youth app and related campaigns
Write and edit posts, newsletters, and press releases to highlight events and impact stories
Help manage and update website content
Track and analyze social media metrics to improve engagement
Research and identify opportunities for outreach, partnerships, and media exposure
Support event promotion and on-site coverage (photos, videos, live updates)
Skills We’re Looking For:
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
Familiarity with social media marketing and analytics
Photography and/or video editing experience a plus
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Creativity and a willingness to bring new ideas to the table
Minimum Requirements:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program (Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, PR, or related field preferred)
Reliable internet connection for remote work
Availability of 10 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
