Studio Assistant

We’re looking for a full time studio assistant to join our team of artisans in our Boston ceramics studio. This role is specifically for an illustrating and painting position, our ideal candidate would start in AUGUST 2025.

Who we are 

Jill Rosenwald is a ceramics designer and potter
known for her colorful hand thrown and hand
painted pots. Our team of potters, painters
and illustrators make everything by hand for
wholesale clients, interior designers and retail
clients. Located in Boston’s Seaport district,
you’ll find us on the 2nd floor in a unique
10-story warehouse. This is a working artist’s
space—paint brushes, swatches, projects in 

in  progress, well-used wheels and kilns, we look

forward to showing you around our studio!

Our ideal applicant Requirements

+Is a strong illustrator, renderer and replicator; all of our patterns are drawn by hand onto our pots

+Is detail oriented; each piece is drawn, painted and glazed by hand, we’re looking for someone meticulous

+Has a fine arts degree and some experience working with ceramics

+Is an excellent communicator and someone with great time management skills

+Is a multitasker, collaborator and team player

+Would describe themself as a self starter, a problem solver, and independent thinker

Requirements

• BFA or equivalent work experience

• Ability to lift 25lbs

• Ability to be on your feet for 4 hours

• Ability to work 35-40 hours a week

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Candidates with ceramics experience are preferred, but are not required
