Early childhood music teacher

Capitol Harmony School of Music, located in the heart of Georgetown, is seeking a warm, engaging, and experienced Early Childhood Music Teacher to lead music classes for children ages 3–6. We are a growing music studio committed to providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate music education that fosters creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.

Responsibilities:

• Lead small-group music classes for children ages 3–6 (with occasional caregiver participation)
• Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate movement, rhythm, singing, instrument play, and musical storytelling
• Maintain a warm, inclusive, and energetic classroom environment
• Communicate with parents about class content and student engagement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or Early Childhood Education (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching children ages 3–6
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for early childhood development and music education
• Familiarity with early childhood music methodologies (e.g., Musikgarten, Orff, Kodály, Dalcroze, etc.)
