Job Purpose
Administers all aspects of the Fitness and Community Health Testing (FaCHT) program, housed in the Applied Exercise Science department.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Public Health, Health Promotion, or related field and related experience is required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated experience in health promotion, fitness assessment, or community health programming.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Experience in fitness/performance testing program development and evaluation.
- Prior experience in higher education or community-based health initiatives.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
In managing the FaCHT program, this position will be involved in:
- developing relationships on and off campus in order to build a clientele
- supervising students who may work as volunteers and/or interns in the program
- coordinating lab space usage with Applied Exercise Science faculty
- ensuring equipment maintenance and upkeep with the Exercise Science lab manager
- developing and delivering health data to clients (both hard copy and electronic)
