Consumer Insights Internship

Great Lakes Marketing Research: Full-service marketing research and consulting firm that has been part of the Toledo Community for 60 years. 

Job Title:         Consumer Insights (Internship)

FLSA Status:   Non-exempt hourly 

Position Summary:

Opportunity for a student to work from 12 to 20 hours a week for Great Lakes Marketing Research – www.glm.com. This year-round, part-time internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in the field of marketing research for the student who qualifies.

Responsibilities:  (In-depth training will be provided)

  1. Assist project managers with setting up and implementing survey projects.
  2. Provides validation, data editing, running of tabulations, and coding of survey information.
  3. Assists in the transcription of qualitative data.
  4. Assists with the report writing and proofing and issuing of reports.
  5. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by project managers and other team members.

 

Requirements:  (Graduates are welcome to apply!)

  1. Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level students in Business, Marketing, Economics, Consumer Science, Statistics, or other areas of studies with an interest in marketing research are welcome to apply.
  2. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
  3. Proficiency in proofing data, writing reports, developing and proofing PowerPoint charts and graphs.
  4. Flexible schedule – morning/afternoon availability for 4 consecutive hours per day.

Schedule:  Part-time – approximately 12-20 a week depending on activity and project deadlines.
