2D Psychedelic Music Videos
Hi there! I’m exploring thematic music videos with a fresh fusion of dubstep, dance, and spiritual vibes. We’re creating something bold and unexpected: pairing catchy, faith-inspired beats with visuals that pop. I provide the music, lyrics, and storyboard and you bring the motion magic!
Project Scope:
- Develop 2 music videos, each 3–4 minutes, using 2D psychedelic animation (think A-ha’s “Take On Me”, Depeche Mode vibes, neon, scribbles, or abstract lines).
- On-screen lyrics must appear in sync with the vocals.
- Deliver final videos in MP4 format, ready to upload to YouTube, Vimeo, and social media.
- Collaborate flexibly — I’ll supply a rough storyboard, color mood, and lyrics.
Ideal Candidate:
- Students with skills in 2D animation, motion graphics, or rotoscope-style animation.
- Comfort with syncing visuals to music and lyrics.
- Creative eye for trippy, dreamy, or vintage-psychedelic styles.
- Organized and reliable — open to feedback, on-time delivery.
- Must have access to tools/software for pro-level MP4 exports.
Ideal Background:
- Majors/minors: Animation, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or similar.
- Portfolio showing lyric videos, music video work, or abstract/psychedelic animation is a big plus.
- Open to all levels — if you’re newer but have the skills, let’s see your work!
Pay:
- Paid per project: negotiable depending on experience and style.
- Flexible timeline, part-time hours: perfect for a student building a standout portfolio.
- Credit in the final videos + letter of recommendation if requested.
