Role Description:
V24V is looking for a Helioseismic Researcher. The ideal candidate is a scientific-artist with a joy for blending data from various subjects, conducting independent research and contributing to Citizen Science projects. The Helioseismic Researcher collects data, evaluates results and develops a group hypothesis for resonant factors influencing biospheric phenomena and patterns observed in studying solar activity, listening to weekly melodies and songs played by our local star.
Key Responsibilities:
- Watch daily movies of solar activity, over a span of 8-13 consecutive days, using data provided by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory website. Document findings for research collected over a span of 84 days. Analyze the data and report the hypothesis in a scholarly research paper to be published in Google Scholar.
- Be a Sun Weather Forecaster, predicting solar activity and geomagnetic behavior over the span of 1 to 20 days, creating Interstellar Weather and Interplanetary Weather Forecasts, integrating, synthesizing and visualizing data from activity exhibited on Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, the Sun (our local star) and neighboring star activity in our local galactic sector.
- Write regular, non-scholarly articles in V24V’s Substack, in non-technical, non-AI language that the everyday Citizen Scientist can use to understand helioseismic, interstellar and interplanetary data.
- Write and prepare information packets for submitting Requests-For-Proposals (RFP)’s, federal and foundation grants to fund further community-led research and application of V24V’s Citizen Science projects.
- Work closely with V24V’s Chief Citizen Scientist, Biosphere Researcher and Noosphere Researcher to analyze and visualize holonomic patterns extracted from information collected by participants in V24V’s community-led Citizen Science projects.
- Work with Kin in a TropaNeur Tribe to complete group projects, attend Tactical and Governance Meetings and contribute to V24V’s organizational decision-making process.
Required Education & Work Experience:
- High school diploma
- Degree or majoring in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Geophysics, Solar Physics, Plasma Physics, Electrical Engineering or other related Science
- Excellent communication and non-AI writing skills
- Research skills, using both empirical and theoretical/deductive methods
- Experience using Stellarium's open-source software
- Preferred Education: Knowledge of Resonant Science, morphic fields and the 13 Moon/28-Day Calendar
