Position Summary
The Research Coordinator will support curriculum delivery, student engagement, research coordination, and logistical support throughout all three program phases.
Company Overview
The Teen Think Tank Project is a student-led, project-based leadership and research institute that trains high-potential teens in advocacy, research, communication, and leadership. Through structured programming and hands-on support, we help students develop the skills to become pragmatic activists and agents of change.
Program Overview: Social Action Lab
The Social Action Lab is an 18-month academic and advocacy program guiding high school students through a structured leadership curriculum focused on housing insecurity in Monmouth and Ocean Counties in collaboration with the Monmouth Housing Coalition. Research Coordinators support the implementation of the program’s three phases from July 2025 through December 2026.
Qualifications
- Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student
- Demonstrated experience conducting academic research
- Experience leading others in academic or research-based pursuits
- Ability to travel to and from Monmouth County, New Jersey
- Availability for all in-person and virtual program meeting
- Strong interest in social justice, youth leadership, and public policy preferred
- Prior experience with academic research or curriculum development is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Zoom, Google Workspace, and other collaborative tools
Compensation and Benefits
- $4,000 stipend (paid bi-weekly)
- $500 bonus for completing the entire program
- Direct experience supporting a youth-led research and advocacy initiative
- Become a ranking member of the Monmouth Housing Coalition
- Credit or internship recognition (where applicable)
- Letter of recommendation from TTTP leadership
- Network-building with policy experts, advocates, and nonprofit professionals
- Professional development in teaching, facilitation, and pragmatic activism
