NextGen Worship Leader (Part-Time)

Purpose Statement: To create an atmosphere of worship for students and young adults with the primary goal of glorifying God through music.

Reports To: Worship Pastor

A. General Responsibilities

○ Plan worships sets for both student and young adult services that align with sermon themes.

○ Oversee the scheduling of worship teams.

○ Oversee loading of all tracks used for worship sets.

○ Recruit, train, and develop worship team members for student and young adult ministries.

○ Spiritually mentor the worship team members.

○ Manage budgets allocated for student and young adult worship.

○ Assignments may vary as duties, programs, and ministry plans are re-assessed.

B. General Expectations

○ Actively seek growth through personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

○ Be/Become a member of First Baptist Church O’Fallon, or willing to become a member.

○ Have an attitude of teamwork with other staff members.

○ Strive for excellence in ministry.

○ Think proactively about ministry activities and responsibilities.

○ Support the vision and purpose of FBCO as defined by the Senior Pastor and Church Leadership Team.

○ Support the vision and purpose of the student and young adult ministries as defined by the Student Pastor and Young Adults Pastor.

Work Schedule:

Sundays: 4 pm – 9 pm (5 hours)

Thursdays: 4 pm – 9 pm (5 hours)

Weekdays: Flexed to meet ministry needs*

Total = 20-29 hrs/week

*Weekly preparation can be done remotely.
